Plant-Based Colorants for Food, Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals
Functional description. Paprika oleoresin is a carotenoid colorant that delivers orange through deep red to reddish-brown shades depending on color value, dosage, and product matrix. It is oil-soluble by default; water-dispersible grades are produced through emulsification for beverage and brine applications. It contributes color without meaningful pungency at standard use levels.
Primary application areas. Meat and sausage products (fresh and cooked), cheese sauces and gravies, condiments and dressings, baked goods and snacks, icings, and extruded snacks. In dairy analogs and plant-based meats, water-dispersible grades are used for surface and mass coloration.
